Calling Menswear Designers!
FashionCapital is delighted to announce an exciting new collaboration with leading departmental store Debenhams.
We are looking for ten UK up and coming menswear designers to be put forward to showcase at the Profile fashion event.
Debenhams will then select two of these designers at Profile to preview a small eight piece collection at two Debenhams stores.

Outdoorsy Wear Does Not Have to be Unfashionable

How i found time for myself
As a career mother I struggle with finding the time for me, before I had my children I was still working full time but I still managed to squeeze in a coffee and my favourite past time shopping. Since having my first child 5 years ago I needed to come to terms with the fact that my new free time was when my children were asleep in the evening, meaning I had to trust the internet with online shopping. I had never experienced online shopping before and had heard stories, so I was pretty dubious. I spoke to a few friends and they had explained to me the different ways you can trust online shops when paying for goods as they often buy things online. With this new advice I decided to buy my first item online, I chose not to spend a lot of money as I was still dipping my toe into shopping online and decided a new dress for my little girl would be my first purchase. I searched the web and found a website that had many shops dedicated to clothing little girls for me to choose from, it was fab. I didn’t have to go through search engines looking for suitable shops they were all here on one site, it seemed a really good idea. I looked through the shops finding what I thought was the best dress for the best price and bought my dress, I then waited for it to arrive. A couple of days had past and still no dress, I was worrying the stories I had heard were going to end up being true. But on day 3 my little girls dress turned up and it seemed to be fine, I was relieved and my doubts of shopping online began to disappear. With this good news I decided to find the site I had found to buy my little girls dress as this site had specialist pages for everything female related which was right up my street and it had already proved to me that what I had bought was of good quality with no problems. So I set upon making my list as I needed new clothes for summer as me and the children were off on holiday and I also had some birthdays coming up, once my list was made I hit the computer to start my search. There were hundreds of shops to look through so I thought the chances of completing my list was pretty good, and after a few hours on a Tuesday evening my shopping was done. A few outfits for me and my girls and birthday presents for my father, brother and a couple of friends all bought and paid for I even managed to find an outfit for my Yorkshire terrier ’Misty’, now all I had to do was wait. My wait this time wasn’t as long as before and received my first item after just two days, as my items were from many shops I finally received my last item after five days. All seemed as it should just like my little girls dress so I was happy with no complaints, after receiving everything with no problems it seemed like a massive weight had been lifted from me and I can finally get back to my love of shopping without the worry. I know it’s only my second purchase online but thanks for showing me how enjoyable online shopping can be, I don’t even need a man anymore I just seem to be on this site every night looking for new things to buy. Plus Size Lingerie In a Big Way.
At a recent luncheon with my girlfriends we were
discussing plus size lingerie. All of my friends and i, are considered, by
who ever made the rules, that we are ‘plus size.’ This is fine. Actually i
don’t care. The reason? Well i feel fabulous and sexy. And no, i don’t feel
like this every day and yes i do often wake up and moan about my stubby
thighs. The thing is though i am able to be part of the escapism that
lingerie provides.
That is for me what lingerie does. It lets you escape. For a long time it
was only for the slim girls. Not now though, plus size lingerie is becoming
more and more of a big seller and it’s great. Lingerie allows you to play
games and in my opinion, gives you an instant boost of confidence. It is
important to feel sexy and alive and it certainly makes one feel like this
when you slip into a sexy number.
Lingerie for us bigger girls is not limited. In actual fact, finding plus
size corsets and bustiers are actually quite easy to find. Corsets have
become a firm favourite of mine. I appreciate how they nip in at your waist
and bring attention to your curves. Black may be a favourite of most but i
really don’t understand why. Sexy it may be but red is much saucier, white
is more playful and green can be sinful. As i am sure you have already
guessed by now, i have built up quite a selection of corsets in my wardrobe.
The other thing about corsets is that they have developed so much in how
they are designed and cut. Simple black corsets are great but the new
designs are, in my opinion, so much better; way sexier too. For those of us
who love our breasts, corsets which are cut to bring more attention are
perfect. Likewise some corsets with slits which run down the sides or middle
can be a sexy touch.
My point is: plus size lingerie is there for us, there are great ranges,
great choice and it’s just as sexy as smaller lingerie. It is evident that
the ranges are just getting better, stronger and sexier.

advertising world has some way to go, for the most part plus size lingerie
is readily available. Many big online stores cater to us and know that we
want to feel sexy and sultry too. It’s definitely a new day.” Said Anna

Anna does pick up on a good point, for a long time the plus size lingerie
market was ignored. The ranges were banal and lack-lustre. Not now though.
“Great plus size sexy lingerie can easily be found online,” says Janie,
“from corsets, stockings, bridal corsets, it’s all there, now especially. It
is available to all women of differing sizes and budgets.”
The point i suppose is that if you are a women who is plus size don’t feel
that sexy lingerie is not available to you because it really is. It is only
getting stronger and sexier.
