The concept behind BusinessWardrobe.com came from Jane Dawson, one of the founders, who, like many other successful professional women, when working struggled to find modern, stylish clothing for business at a convenient time to suit her. Jane thought that the ‘high street lacked inspiration or unique style and quality and, with time constraints, trawling through boutiques and designer stores wasn’t an option.’

After identifying a gap in the market for women’s business clothing she joined forces with retail expert Claire Crabtree and businessman Paul Hebden and came up with the idea to create an online clothing store supplying women with contemporary, stylish and beautifully designed garments that, whilst creating a statement, still remained professional.

Visitors to BusinessWardrobe.com can expect a unique shopping experience as many of the garments available from the site have been produced by European designers such as Rayure, a French brand that is famous for its classic black and white shirts; and Irish designer duo Quin and Donnelly. It is only via BusinessWardrobe.com that consumers in the UK can access certain ranges, making the clothes exclusive for Business Wardrobe shoppers.

To make the shopping experience that little bit easier the site offers outfit suggestions, where pieces are shown with the matching accessories giving customers the chance to view before they buy.

Founding Director Jane Dawson said: “We want Yorkshire businesswomen to stand out from the crowd and feel great. We have a huge proportion of high profile women in the region, but our research shows that we’re so busy being “professional” that we forget to have a bit of fun with fashion”.
