They are looking to recruit an import merchandiser with relevant clothing industry experience to join their team. The role will include managing high street accounts, placing and managing orders, monitoring production and shipment of orders, lab dips and all aspects of the critical path as well as daily liaison with factories in the Far East and with Major High street retailers. Strong communication, PC and administration skills are required as is previous experience of liaising with the Far East. You will establish and communicate product specifications, including fit, sizing, fabrics, trims and construction details, critique products for manufacturing quality and fit for samples and bulk production, liaise with suppliers, support design and product managers with technical solutions pertaining the style development with regards to fabrics, colours, styling, trims and in cost negotiations. You will develop products accurately against the product brief and check that product development and quality is consistent with the brand positioning and identity. You must have at least 3 years experience of developing and costing apparel, a good knowledge of fabric and garment testing and QC procedures, strong communication skills, a good attention to detail, and a keen interest in fashion and relevant sports.
